Barça a step closer to league title

The heroes of the Bernabeu and Stamford Bridge make a triumphant return to the Camp Nou tonight knowing that a win against Villarreal will mathematically clinch the league title for FC Barcelona.
Victory tonight would put the perfect finishing touch to what has been a fabulous week for all Barça fans. It started last Saturday with a 2-6 annihilation of Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu that all but ended any faint chance that the title could be torn away from Barça’s grasp. Four days later, Barça stormed through to the final of the Champions League thanks to Iniesta’s superb injury-time goal in the second leg in London.

Sri Lankan 'shelling kills 378'

At least 378 people have been killed by continuing shelling from the Sri Lankan army in the past 24 hours, a health official has told the BBC.
The doctor, working in the northern conflict zone, said 1,122 others had been injured - and more bodies were on beaches and by the sides of roads.
The army denies shelling the area, which the government has designated a "safe zone" for civilians.
